This week's Top Ten Tuesday prompt, hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl, is about the 2025 Fall Books we plan to read. Here are my ten:
15 Wild Decembers by Karen Powell
The Correspondent by Virginia Evans
The Wilderness by Angela Flournoy
Cursed To Death by Bill Crider
Slouching Toward Bethlehem by Joan Didion
An American Tragedy by Theodore Dresier
Harbour Lights Mystery by Emylia Hall
Destiny of The Republic by Candace Millard
Moonflower. Muders by Anthony Horowitz
Murder On Washington Square by Victoria Thompson
Finished A Place Of Greater Safety by Hilary Mantel. It was wonderful and the ending so moving. It's the best reading experience I have had all year.

I love that Victoria Thompson series. I've read them all. And I read An American Tragedy years ago. I like Dreiser's novels. Happy reading all of these. :D
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know about Victoria Thomson. It's such a great series.
DeleteLooking forward to hearing what you think of Fifteen Wild Decembers. I also want to get to The Correspondent this year, and Harbour Lights Mystery would be great for my October mystery plans.
ReplyDeleteAlso interested in what you think of Moonflower by Horowitz. I've been meaning to get that on a list!
I am hopping my library gets a copy of 15 Wild December. I've put in my notification. I have heard very good things about the Correspondent and Harbour Lights Mystery and Moonflower Murders I am definitely looking forward to
DeleteI am impressed. An American Tragedy is a big book to tackle. I will be interested in hearing about all of these. Some of them are new to me. I also want to read The Correspondent by Virginia Evans.
ReplyDeleteI see we're both planning to read The Harbour Lights Mystery. I have a cousin who used to be (maybe still is) involved in installing Mousehole harbour lights, I wonder if he's in the book! LOL! As it's Christmassy I will probably wait until November to read that one.
ReplyDeleteI'm saving Harbour Lights Mystery for November or December too and thanks Cath for alerting me to this series. I love the two detectives and will be curious about their next case.
DeleteI love the Anthony Horowitz books. Absolutely love them.
ReplyDeleteI do too. And I am looking forward to Moomflower Murders
DeleteI've not read any of these but I'll check them now. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHope you like them!
DeleteThe Correspondent was lovely.
ReplyDeleteI am very excited to read it and I like books in letter form.
DeleteHi Kathy - not sure if you received earlier comments on this post from me but here I go again: This is a strong list and I liked the Karen Powell and Virginia Evans and Joan Didion books. And I've read another of Candace Millard's books River of the Gods and liked it. And like you, I hope to read Angela Fournoy's new one. So you have some winners ahead of you. Enjoy!
